 The Roman Empire or the Imperium Romanum was one of the greatest empires and lasted approximately from 9 B.C to 500 A.D. Legend has it that Rome was founded on 21 April 753 BC.

Since the Roman Empire spanned such a long time period and vast geographical area, there were lots of different styles of costumes. High Fashion would have been found in Rome, and the outlying areas would tried to mimic them as much as possible.
