Classic Bludgeons are constructed of stone,
animal skins and wood - materials that have been available since the dawn of mankind. Built from readily availible materials, they were used in many periods of history.
Each bludgeon is crafted by hand using rawhide, wood and a hand-picked stone. First, rawhide is soaked for several days in a special solution. Next, the wood is carefully shaped to fit the stone. Finally, the stone is attached to the wood handle with the rawhide. When the rawhide dries, it shrinks, attaching rock and stone together securely. The rawhide and wood are then treated and hand dyed. Each bludgeon is unique in every respect.
Creating a bludgeon is time intensive task, but the finished product is museum quality.
These side arms are beautiful artifacts for ornamental wear or display in your home.
Each Blugeon comes with a custom made leather holster, and a wood stand that is 24 inches long and stained to match the bludgeon.
The Bludgeon is a lethal weapon and not not a toy. Keep out of reach of children. It is intended for ornamental wear and display only and are not to be used for striking any person, animal, object or thing. It is NOT legal in any LARP, SCA or other group fighting forms.
