Great Kilt
This is the older style of kilt made of a substantial length of plaid that must be pleated by the wearer every time it is worn.
(In other words, the pleats are not sewn in.)
Folding the great kilt is not that difficult
and gets easier with time.

Our great kilts have 6 or 7 yards of 60 inch wide plaid material.
Our great kilts are traditionally worn with a large sleeve shirt called a leine. (Our leine are made with 6 yards of
fabric--they are quite voluminous--and can come in muslin, bleached white cotton, or other colors.)
Great kilts require a sturdy belt, often with fancy buckles. Thick leather belts can usually be found in thrift stores.
We also offer kilt belts made from thick leather with an adjustable buckle.
We have several choices of plaid.
Great bargin kilts or discount kilts or cheap kilts.
Unfortunately, we can not aquire specific tartans and we do not have the exact clan names for the plaid we have in
stock. We can however, make matching plaid clothes for the rest of the family or clan.
