Circlet. These 'puffy' fabric circlets (affectionately referred to as donuts) were worn in the 11th-15th centuries in some areas of western Europe.
They are primarily used to hold on veils or to cover up veil pins. Though they can be worn alone as a lovely hairpiece, bear in mind that only in modern times does a woman go out in public with her hair exposed.
(It's been proven that with the proper head-position, they also make adequate pillows!)
They can be made to match dresses and thus create a more polished look.
Ribbon makes a colorful addition to these accessories.
Velvet or Satin fabrics can also be employed.
Trim can be added.
Please provide your color/fabric choices and head size (in inches) when ordering.
