Plaid Kolobus This is a simple below-knee dress, sewn partially up the sides and with a scoop neck.
Worn in many periods, including early periods (e.g. Saxons, Vikings, jutes, vandals, franks, Biblical times).
Made from wool plaid fabric, this garment is itchy when worn alone. Can be lined with muslin.
We recommend that it be worn as an overdress with an Underdress underneath.
This dress is not usually hemmed (finished) to reflect an earlier style of clothing. It can be hemmed if you choose. The seams and hem of lined outfits are finished.
