Palla The palla is a later variation of the Himation or Toga.
This version is a long rectangle, usually worn by women as a long, wrapped veil. In the mid 5th century Imperial Rome the Palla became more of a fashion accessory among noble ladies. It was
folded lengthwise and wrapped around the body, as pictured above.
Made from natural cotton muslin, cotton gauze or polycotton fabric.
The palla measures 144 inches long and 50-60 inches wide, depending on the width of the fabric.
Trim can be added to either the short ends (pictured), the long sides or all 4 sides.
