The medieval period is commonly defined as after the fall of the Roman empire (5th century) to the
start of the Renessaince in the 1500s. This is the period of the middle ages, where knights fought
for thier ladies and chivalry abounded. This was also the time of plagues and wars and persecutions,
which is why many reenactors 'selectively' recreate medieval times.
