Never been to a Pennsic War and are wondering what to bring and wear?
The weather at Pennsic can be unpredictable. Days are often hot and humid, and lightweight garb is best
(e.g. tunics, pants,
dresses). If you really don't like the heat you may want to consider
a Greek personna and wear a chiton.
It does get cold at night, and a warm cloak is advisable. If you get
very cold, you may want to consider lining your cloak in polar fleece, or getting a fleece poncho
or cape. Note, polar fleece isn't period. But it sure is warm.
And of course, don't forget to garb your feet with period shoes or
boots or non-period but comfortable rope sandals.
If you are going to be at Pennsic for a while and need lots of (inexpensive) garb, check out our instock sales items.
Also consider items like Abayahs that can be worn over 'mundane' clothing.
Have a great war
