Anglo Saxon Female Costume
The Anglo Saxon time period dated roughly from the mid 5th century until the Norman conquest in 1066. Anglo Saxon women are most often represented in drawings, statues and on tapestry as wearing a long or mid-calf length tunic over a full length underdress. The neckline was usually a keyhole shape and they had long sleeves.
The complete Anglo Saxon Female costume consists of: An Underdress with round neck and tapered sleeves. A Gown with Trim on sleeves and bottom hem. A Long Rectangular Veil matching the underdress. A Leather Belt with Ring.
